ATLANTA — After earning a spot on the April camp roster of the U.S. Women’s Futsal National teams final training camp before roster selection, veteran midfielder Kiersen Korienek has been tabbed to the U.S. Women’s Futsal National Team for 2025 Concacaf W Futsal Championship in Guatemala released on Monday.

Korienek was selected by the U.S. Women’s Futsal National Team head coach Diego Burato as part of the 14-player roster for the Concacaf W Futsal Championship to be held April 28-May 4, at the Domo Polideportivo in Guatemala City, Guatemala.

Korienek, playing as a Pivo (Target/Forward) and Ashley Henderson are the newest two players on the 14-player squad. They made the team after partaking in their first Futsal WNT camp earlier this month in Rome, Georgia.

“Being named to the U.S. Women’s Futsal National Team is an incredible honor. Representing my country on this stage and at this level is something I’ve dreamed about for a long time. I’m so grateful to play alongside such an amazing and talented group of women,” mentioned Korienek. “I’m thankful for everyone who has supported me on this journey — from coaches and teammates to family and friends. I’m beyond excited to wear the crest and play for my country.”

Hailing from Grandville, Michigan, Korienek competed for the United States Youth Futsal U16 National Team in 2018 while being a team captain, competing in Colombia and Argentina in 2019. She currently plays for Grand Rapids OLé FC.

As a Husky, Korienek has logged 46 games, making 11 starts, 10 of which came in the 2024 season. She recorded a career-high 38 shots, landing 14 shots on goal while scoring two game-winning goals for a total of four goals a season ago.
