KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Michigan Tech men’s basketball junior guard Marcus Tomashek has been named to the NABC All-District Team, announced on Monday.
Tomashek, a native of Green Bay, Wisconsin, is the first Husky to earn NABC All-District accolades since Owen White in the 2021-22 season and the eighth in program history. The standout guard earned D2CCA Midwest Region Player of the Year and GLIAC Player of the Year selections to go with All-Region and ALl-GLIAC First Team honors. He helped the Huskies to a GLIAC regular season outright championship and an NCAA Tournament berth as Michigan Tech finished the season 24-8 overall.
For the year, Tomashek was a five-time GLIAC Offensive Player of the Week and a one-time National Player of the Week selection, amassing 23.2 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.8 dimes per outing. The junior ranks 11th in the country in scoring, collecting 30 or more points nine times, including two 40-point outbursts. His 720 points this season ranks seventh nationally and the fourth-most points for a season in program history.
The All-District honors are voted on by NABC-member coaches across NCAA Division II.
