Lenz, Tomashek both named All-District
HOUGHTON — On Tuesday, Michigan Tech Huskies women’s basketball guard Isabella Lenz and men’s basketball guard Marcus Tomashek were both named to the CSC All-District teams.
LENZ NAMED TO CSC ALL-DISTRICT TEAM
Lenz, a senior, has been selected by the College Sports Communicators to the 2024-25 Academic All-District team.
This is the second-consecutive season Lenz has been selected to the CSC All-District team.
Lenz, a product of Prescott, Wisconsin, led the Huskies this season in points (14.2), assists (2.6), steals (1.1), blocks (0.7) and minutes (34.1) per game for the Black & Gold in her final season. She scored 413 points in 2024-25 helping the Huskies to a 12-17 overall record scoring in double-figures in 26 games earning a career-high 25 points versus Wisconsin-Parkside on Dec. 5, 2024.
She is a three-time All-GLIAC first team selection and a two-time GLIAC All-Defensive team member, also earning GLIAC Freshman of the Year honors in 2021-22.
Academically, Lenz holds a cumulative GPA of 4.00 pursuing a bachelor’s in scientific and technical communication.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. TOMASHEK EARNS CSC ALL-DISTRICT ACCOLADES
Tomashek, a junior, has been selected by the College Sports Communicators to the 2024-25 Academic All-District team announced Tuesday.
Tomashek, a native of Green Bay, Wisconsin, is an NABC All-America selection, NABC All-District selection, the D2CCA Midwest Region Player of the Year and GLIAC Player of the Year honoree, adding All-Region and All-GLIAC First Team distinctions. He helped the Huskies to a GLIAC regular season outright championship and an NCAA Tournament berth as Michigan Tech finished the season 24-8 overall.
For the year, Tomashek was a five-time GLIAC Offensive Player of the Week and a one-time National Player of the Week selection, amassing 23.2 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.8 dimes per outing. The junior ranks 11th in the country in scoring, collecting 30 or more points nine times, including two 40-point outbursts. His 720 points this season ranks seventh nationally and the fourth-most points for a season in program history.
In the classroom, Tomashek holds a 3.70 cumulative GPA pursuing his bachelor’s degree in forestry.
