Michigan Tech football reveals 2025 schedule

HOUGHTON — The Michigan Tech Huskies football team has revealed the schedule for the 2025 season.

The 103rd season of Michigan Tech football showcases an 11-game slate, split with five home games and six away contests, including seven GLIAC matchups.

The Huskies kick off the campaign on Thursday, Aug. 28 when they play host to Bemidji State, who made it to the NCAA quarterfinal a season ago. The Huskies narrowly fell to Bemidji State (19-13 OT) in the 2024 season opener in Bemidji, Minnesota in week zero.

Michigan Tech will travel across South Dakota on Sep. 4, facing RMAC affiliate South Dakota Mines. Last season, the Huskies won a marathon 4 OT thriller (52-50) at Kearly Stadium against the Hardrockers.

MTU will complete the September schedule by traveling to Hillsdale (Sep. 13) before hosting GLVC affiliate Upper Iowa at home the following Saturday (Sep. 20), ending the month with a bye week.

Out of the bye, the Huskies will begin GLIAC play with two away games, traveling to Wayne State on Oct. 4 and Davenport on Oct. 11. The lone home game of the month comes the following week as the Black & Gold host the reigning National Champions, Ferris State on Oct. 18.

The next Saturday, the Huskies trek to the Superior Dome, bringing a 14-game win streak on the road, facing Northern Michigan with a chance to win its 15th consecutive Miner’s Cup in the 23rd installment.

To start November, Michigan Tech will play host to the newest GLIAC affiliate, Roosevelt, on Nov. 1.

On Nov. 8, the Huskies will travel downstate to Lubbers Stadium to face Grand Valley State, before rounding out the regular season welcoming Saginaw Valley State to Kearly Stadium on Nov. 15.

Ticket information along with game times will be released at a later date.

Starting at $2.99/week.
