Gremlins hockey tops Copper Kings

CALUMET — The Houghton Gremlins hockey team struck three times in the second period to break a scoreless tie, then added an insurance goal in the third period to earn a 4-0 win Tuesday over the Calumet Copper Kings at the Calumet Colosseum.
Jay Halonen led the Gremlins with a pair of goals.
Jack Sayen and Noah Maillette both picked up a goal and an assist as well.
Brycyn Nettell stopped all seven shots he saw to earn the shutout.
