HOUGHTON — On Monday, the SDC Gym hosted the first-ever MTU Basketball Showcase.

Local squads went 1-3 over the course of the day as the Lake Linden-Hubbell Lakes girls basketball team remained undefeated with a 57-46 victory over the Norway Knights to improve to 6-0 on the season.

In boys basketball, Stephenson defeated Lake Linden-Hubbell, 48-39. The Lakes are still searching for their first win of the year. North Central earned a 42-39 win over Baraga. Baraga fell to 5-2 with the loss.

In a battle of undefeated squads to close out the compettition, the Dollar Bay-Tamarack City Blue Bolts dropped their first game of the season, a 67-49 loss to the Crystal Falls Forest Park Trojans.

Baraga is back in action Thursday against Ewen-Trout Creek.
