Jets hockey earns overtime win over Sentinels
MARQUETTE — Despite trailing 4-0 after one period of play, the Jeffers Jets hockey team fought their way back to even the game at 5-5 and force overtime with the Marquette Sentinels at Lakeview Arena Tuesday.
In the extra session, Benton Rajala struck to give the Jets their 12th win of the season.
Rajala added another goal in the contest. Brogan Turner had a goal and three assists. Two of Turner’s assists came on the game-tying and game-winning goals.
Brit Heinonen scored three goals in the game, his third goal of the night tied the game at 5-5 with 43 seconds left in regulation.
