Copper Kings hockey comes up just short against Warriors
CALUMET — Despite trading goals with the Brother Rice Warriors in the second period, the Calumet Copper Kings hockey team ultimately lost Saturday night at the Calumet Colosseum, 3-2.
Brendan Boberg and Liam Pomroy scored the goals for the Copper Kings. Erik Loukus, Nathan Londo, Kobe Solomonson and Luke Hamlin all earned assists in the contest.
Zach Staelgraeve scored twice and Logan Jardine added one for the Warriors.
Beau Jukuri stopped 29 of 32 Warriors’ shots in the loss. Jude Manly stopped 18 to earn the win.

The Copper Kings head to the MacInnes Student Ice Arena Tuesday to take on the Jeffers Jets.
