ROUNDUP: Baraga wins, Jeffers falls
VIKINGS 64, PURPLE HORNETS 57
BARAGA — The Baraga Vikings boys basketball team did something that no other team has done yet this season, they defeated the L’Anse Purple Hornets, 64-57, on Monday night.
Baraga was led by Daniel Conner, who put up 33 points.
Sam Lee answered with 33 for the Purple Hornets.
“It was a great atmosphere for a rivalry game,” said Purple Hornets coach Robert Potter. “I’ve been preaching to the guys that every possession matters, and we had 2-3 bad possessions in each quarter that ultimately cost us.”
