HOUGHTON — Michigan Tech Huskies sophomore forward Max Koskipirtti has been named the CCHA Forward of the Week the conference announced on Monday. He led the CCHA with four points on the weekend.

Koskipirtti helped lead Michigan Tech to a CCHA sweep of Northern Michigan last weekend. He scored a power-play goal Friday in a 3-0 win in Marquette and added a goal and two assists in a 6-3 victory on Saturday in Houghton. Koskipirtti had the primary assist on Tech’s second goal by Marcus Pedersen and set up the game-winning goal by Stiven Sardarian in the third period. Koskipirtti has six points in six games this season.

Tech is 4-2 overall and 2-0 in the CCHA and plays its first road series this weekend at Ferris State. The puck drops at 7:07 p.m. both nights at Ewigleben Ice Arena.
