EWEN — Despite 26 points from Austin Gordon, the Ewen-Trout Creek Panthers could not find enough answers for the Houghton Gremlins’ offense as the Gremlins earned an 80-48 victory Monday in both teams’ season-opener.

The Gremlins got 30 points from Luke Hill, 15 from Lane Laux, and 11 from Isaiah Lawson. Hill added five steals in the game as well.

Jonah Falker was the fourth Gremlin in double figures with 10 points.

Brody Majurin finished with nine points for the Panthers.

CHASSELL — The Dollar Bay-Tamarack City Blue Bolts defeated the Chassell Panthers 71-46 Monday at the Ed Helakoski Gym in Chassell.

Liam Tourtillott led the Blue Bolts with 31 points. Baron Colbert poured in 15.

Grady Olson led the Panthers with 17 points. Aiden Kilpela added 16, and Brayden Larson scored 11.
