HANCOCK — Martha Rutherford (Negaunee, Mich.) has committed to play for the Finlandia University volleyball team. She is planning on majoring in Business.

Rutherford had a strong career at Negaunee High School. As a senior, she was All-Mid-Peninsula Conference honorable mention and Academic All-State. Rutherford helped the Miners win a district title in 2020 and qualified for the U.P. Division I Girls State Track and Field Championships in the shot put.

Rutherford is a member of the National Honor Society and was a Business Professional’s of America state finalist.
