HANCOCK — Judith Irene (Manninen) Usitalo, 85, of Lakeview Manor in Hancock, passed away at St. Mary’s Hospital in Green Bay, Wisconsin, on March 4, 2025, following a short illness.

Judy, as she like to be called, was married to Harold R. Usitalo on May 17, 1958, at the South Range-Baltic Evangelical Lutheran Church.

She was a Jeffers High School graduate in 1957. She also graduated from Suomi College in 1995 at the age of 53.

Judy was a sales clerk and bookkeeper, but the jobs she liked the best were as a Practical Nurse and Nurses Aide in Seattle, Washington and locally. She enjoyed playing Pinochle, Scrabble, and Sudoku Puzzles.

She had seven children, but two passed away as infants, Tami and Timothy. She is survived by her children: David (Cindy), Daryl (Lori), Jayne, Jill, and Jenifer; grandchildren Christina, Christopher, Amber (Joel), David John, Karl (Kelly), Daryl James, Alexander, Jimmy, Lacey and Lilli; great-grandchildren: Chloe, Logan, Austin, Brendon, Carter, Daxton, Kendra, and Karson; grand-cat, Holley; a sister, Linda Adams and family; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins

Cremation has taken place and there will be a memorial service at the O’Neill-Dennis Funeral Home on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at 6 p.m. with Pastor Soren Schmitt and Charles Korhonen officiating. Spring interment will be at Lakeside Cemetery in Hancock.

Friends may call at the O’Neill-Dennis Funeral Home from 4 until the 6 p.m. time of services on Saturday.
