Raymond Ojala Sr.
Hubbell — Raymond Ojala Sr., 66, a resident of Hubbell passed away at his home following a short illness.
He was born on Jan. 3, 1958, in Hancock, a son of the late Toivo and Jean (Walman) Ojala. He was raised in Menard Location and received his GED from Hancock High School.
On Feb. 9, 1977, he was united in marriage to the former Dorthy Philips. The couple resided in Lake Linden before moving to make their home in Hubbell. On Jan. 27, 2021, Dorthy preceded Ray in Death.
Mr. Ojala had worked for LeBlanc’s IGA in Hubbell before retiring as a assistant Dairy Manager at Econo Foods in Houghton in 2017.
Ray was a wonderful father and enjoyed the good life spending time with his family and friends. He was a gifted shay tree mechanic and was always willing to help anyone in need.
Preceding him in death were his wife Dorothy, his infant son William Issac, and his parents.
Surviving are, his children Raymond Ojala Jr. of Hubbell, Crystal (Edward) Komula of Lake Linden. His grandchildren, Ivey Aho, Isaiah Aho, and Donald Goodell Jr. His sister Ruth Ojala of Hancock. His nephew Christopher Harris and his son Spencer Harris.
