Khris Douglas Parkkila
BOSTON LOCATION — Khris Douglas Parkkila, age 61 of Boston Location, MI, passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2024, in the peace of his own home. Khris was born in Royal Oak, MI on June 20, 1963, to late parents Violet and Donald Parkkila.
Khris wasn’t a man of many words but showed his love by actions and remembering the small things in life. He helped his brother Keith on countless projects, and always made sure the Sauna was hot and ready for his friends and family at deer camp. One of his favorite places to be. Khris also loved gardening and small engine repairs. Khris had a silly, off the wall sense of humor that made everyone that was around him smile and laugh. He never tried to be like anyone else, which made him unforgettable.
Khris was proceeded in death by brother Larry (Tina) and parents Donald and Violet (Pelto) Parkkila. He is survived by his siblings Keith Parkkila of Hancock, Kerry (Renee) Parkkila of Ortonville, Kirsten Parkkila of Calumet and sister-in-law Tina Parkkila of Madison Heights. Nieces and nephews, Jennifer Anderson, Kyle Parkkila, Brandon Anderson, Danielle (Jason) Drake, Taylor Parkkila. Along with many great nieces and nephews, Logan, Amelia, Penelope, Mason, Violet, Colton and Nevaeh.
A small burial service will be held for close family and friends at the Waasa Cemetery in Hancock at 1pm on Saturday, September 7, 2024. There will be a celebration of life immediately following at the Parkkila Farm also located in Hancock, MI.
