HOUGHTON — Jana Meckler, the Interim conductor of Michigan Tech’s Superior Wind Symphony, in addition to director of bands at Hancock Public Schools, announced that on Wednesday, Oct. 16, at 7:30 p.m. in the Rozsa Center on the campus of Michigan Tech, the Superior Wind Symphony will present, Modern, a program of modern wind ensemble selections.

Modern will feature four works that include live dancers and even Meckler’s father, Tim Nyberg, an accomplished artist, author/illustrator, graphic designer and comedian, who will paint two selections live.

Hancock Central High School junior clarinetist Ethan Perreault-Fill will perform in this auditioned university ensemble. Olive Schmidt, Houghton High School, and Superior School of Dance student, will be one of the featured dancers among MTU dance team students.
