Top 100 Michigan Math Prize Competition
The Michigan Math Prize Competition (MMPC) is a statewide high school contest sponsored by the Mathematical Association of America (MAA), Michigan Section.
About 4,000 students took Part I in early October 2019, a 40 question multiple-choice exam. The top 1000 students took Part II in early December, a challenging 5 question exam with full justification of answers. Professors from Michigan colleges and universities came together in January to grade Part II.
The top 100 winners were honored at a banquet in March 2020. The winners are cited as Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Honorable Mention. Over $20,000 in college scholarships from $250 to $2500 is awarded each year. The 2019 contest marks the MMPC’s 63nd year. The 61st – 63rd exam is being hosted by Northern Michigan University, and this year the banquet was held at Albion College.
