Mobile Food Pantry returns to Ontonagon
ONTONAGON — Feeding America West Michigan is coming back to Ontonagon throughout 2025 providing a variety of foods, including fresh produce and dairy, with every mobile food pantry stop. Copper Shores Community Health Foundation is partnering with Ontonagon Area School District and the Ontonagon Village Fire Department to fund the mobile food pantries.
Attendees will only need to provide basic contact information and affirm a need for food; identification or proof of income are not not required. Boxes of food will be provided in a drive-through format, serving approximately 300 families.
The first mobile food pantry for Ontonagon was postponed due to dangerous weather conditions that resulted in a Mackinac Bridge closure late the day before the food pantry’s scheduled arrival. This delivery has been rescheduled for Wednesday, April 30. In addition to the June 4, Aug. 6, and Oct. 1 drop offs, an additional delivery has been scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 3.
