SAULT STE. MARIE — Although police have said little, it appears that two people have been shot to death at the Woodcreek Manor Apartments, located at 1606 Meridian St. in Sault Ste. Marie.

In a press release, authorities in the Soo confirmed that two people have been killed in the shooting and that both people involved in the shooting are deceased. Residents from the complex are being relocated.

According to a comment on the Soo Police’s Facebook page, the apartments, which are situated near the campus of Lake Superior State University, principally house senior citizens. Soo police emphasized that there is no threat to public safety.
