Weather wise, it was a perfect day as anglers of all ages and genders took to the ice off Chassell’s Centennial Park on Portage Lake Saturday for The Chassell VFW Post 6507 Fishing tournament. There were prizes for the biggest fish, a wide assortment of prizes for kids who fished, and even a community lunch. Organizers said the tournament, which was canceled last year due to ice conditions, has been around for almost two decades.
