Visit Keweenaw and the City of Houghton hosted the Houghton New Year’s Chook Drop, Tuesday, but not before a precursing 7 p.m. drop for younger partiers and their families, pictured here. Many children participated in the countdown and had to raise their voices since the microphone was silenced.
