DNR to auction off nearly 100 properties
The Michigan Department of Natural Resources is getting ready to auction off almost 100 properties in over 20 counties, including Houghton county. The auctions will take place from early August to early September.
These surplus land sales are a part of the DNR’s public land strategy. The land sales are just one aspect of how the DNR manages its land. Funds from the auctions will be reinvested to buy land for the public and help provide sites and opportunities for recreation in the great outdoors.
A total of ninety-one properties in both the Upper and Lower Peninsula will be made available to purchase through eleven different online auctions.
