Cruise ship in Houghton

Garrett Neese/Daily Mining Gazette The Ocean Navigator cruise ship is docked along the Houghton waterfront Friday afternoon after spending time in the city of Marquette (See page 3A). The 286-foot boat has a crew of 84 and can carry up to 202 passengers; due to COVID measures, this cruise has 103, said shore excursions manager Leslie Baker. The ship arrived shortly after 7 a.m., leaving at 4 p.m. In between, passengers visited destinations such as the Quincy Mine Hoist and the A.E. Seaman Mineral Museum. The ship is on a 16-day Great Lakes cruise that started in Chicago.
