Nobody really cares too much about your opinion on society, when you live in the middle of nowhere and haven't been anywhere in probably 40 years. The Keweenaw isn't a great place to form an opinion on CURRENT society. This isn't 1946, grandpa. The internet and Glenn Beck are not your gateway to black people, or gateway to Muslims. You've probably never even met a black person, or a Muslim. You probably have been sitting at home for the past 40 years, roaming the streets of Houghton looking for some blank-staring person to talk to about your unsubstantiated opinions. I'm sick of living here listening to people that sound identical to Glenn Beck. God is the only person that can judge (you religious nutbars should know this) , so don't pass judgment on people you don't know personally. WilliamsAs it happens, I have lived away from here, I've traveled some of Europe, lived there for three and half years, lived in Kansas, lived in Texas, traveled the U.S. and Canada as an OTR truck driver. Frankly, everything I've seen and experienced out there has convicted me completely, our current society is degenerate, our current society with it's erosion of traditional mores and values is not improving our societal lot in life, the rejection of Godly behavior or at the very least morals, self control and standards of decent behavior is causing our society enormous problems that it would take generations to erase. As for "no one cares", apparently, sir, you do. It is interesting that young folks in particular demand their right to speak their mind freely and do so both loudly and with disrespect for other persons, but when confronted with opinions that counter their own, the demand silence from the speaker.
