Betty St. Peter

HUBBELL - Betty St. Peter, 75, of Hubbell passed away January 29, 2014, at the Omega House in Houghton after a courageous battle with cancer.

Betty was born on June 16, 1938, in Osceola, a daughter of Nick and Mary (Lenich) Radeka. She later moved to Hubbell and she graduated from Lake Linden Hubbell High School in 1957 as a honor student.

Betty owned and operated St. Pierre Flower Boutique, a leader in permanent flowers. Betty loved working with flowers and doing weddings. She found time for her husband and two sons and was a wonderful housewife and mother. She enjoyed going to flower shows and going to Candie's Corner Cafe in Hubbell.

Betty was married to Lawrence St. Peter at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Hubbell on August 31, 1957.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lake Linden.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Mary Browning and Cecelia Clouthier; brothers, Donald, Jim, Ben, and Ted Radeka; and brothers-in-law, Raphael and Urban.

She is survived by her husband, Lawrence; two sons, Scott (Karen) St. Peter of Hubbell and Jeffrey St. Peter of Hubbell; three grandsons, Chris (Jessica) Zablocki, Casey (Kayla) Zablocki, and Kyle Zablocki; great-granddaughter, Zoey Zablocki; brother-in-law, Robert (Lynn) St. Peter of Dafter, Mich.; a sister-in-law, Mary Ann St. Peter of New Lennox, Ill; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

The Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 4, 2014, in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lake Linden with Fr. Francis Dobrzenski and Fr. Martin Flynn to officiate.

Pearce funeral home in Lake Linden is assisting the family with arrangements.

Burial will be in the Mount Calvary Cemetery in Lake Linden.

In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Omega House in Houghton in Betty's name.
