Thanks for help with blood drive

November 14, 2013
The Daily Mining Gazette

To the editor:

On behalf of the U.P. Regional Blood Center I would like to thank the following people and organizations for hosting a blood drive in the month of October:

Sharon Chartier from Houghton County Medical Care Facility and Mia Moilanen from Michigan Tech Federal Credit Union. As a result of their efforts we collected 38 pints of blood.

I would also like to thank all of the community members who took the time to give the "gift of life." One pint of blood can save up to 3 lives.

You can continue to save lives every 8 weeks. The U.P. Regional Blood Center-Hancock is located in your community for your convenience.

Please call the center at 483-1392 when you are eligible to donate again. Remember, every drop counts.
