GREEN BAY, Wis. -Sarah (Vivian) Rescorla, 82, went home to be with The Lord on Wednesday, October 23, 2013.
Born in Niles, Ohio, she was a graduate of the Huron Road Hospital of Nursing with a bachelor's degree in nursing.
Sarah married Douglas William Vivian in 1952 and moved to Houghton where she and her husband raised their family. She was employed at the Houghton County Medical Care Facility and then for 25 years was employed as a Registered Nurse at the Baraga County Memorial Hospital. Later in her career, she was employed as a nurse at the Student Health Center of Michigan Tech University.
Sarah moved to Green Bay, Wis., in 1985 and was employed at Bellin Memorial Hospital and later completed her career at NWTC.
In addition to her parents; three sisters; her first husband, Dr. D.W. "Bill" Vivian, Sarah was preceded in death by her second husband, Charles "Chuck" Rescorla; and a grandson, Bryan Vivian.
Survivors include her two sons, Bill (Judy) Vivian of Skanee, Mich., Tim (Lisa) Vivian of Green Bay, Wis.; daughter, Nancy (Brad) Stroia of Columbus, Ind.; four stepchildren; and 21 grandchildren.
Visitation for Sarah will her held from 4 p.m. on Saturday, October 26, 2013, in Highland Crest Baptist Church, 1830 S. Military Road, until the hour of service at 5 p.m., with the Rev. Jim Downs officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to radio station WRVM Suring, Wisconsin and Radio Bible Class, Grand Rapids, Mich.
