ORLANDO, Fla. - Ruth Janssen, 86, passed away September 8, 2013, in Florida where she had resided for the past 33-plus years.
Ruth married John (Jack) Peterson in 1948 in Calumet, where they raised three children. Ruth lived much of her life in Green Bay, Wis. You can't see or hear about the Green Bay Packers without thinking of her. I'm sure she has the best seats for the Packer games and tennis matches, not to mention golf tournaments.
Ruth married John Janssen in 1976 in Green Bay, Wis.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Alfred and Siiri (Alatalo) Granroth; her siblings, Mildred Peterson, Floyd, Richard, Paul, and infant brother, David Granroth; husbands, John (Jack) Peterson and John Janssen.
She is survived by her brother, Ronald (Donna) Granroth; her three children, David (Cindy) Peterson of Florida., Donald Peterson of California, and Dianne Peterson Miramonti; (and Roe, her friend of many years) of Florida; five grandchildren, Jenny Peterson (Tim) Miller, Christin Peterson, Kimberly Bergwerff (Mike) Radatz, Kelly Peterson and Robyn Bergwerff; as well as seven great-grandchildren.
Ruth was a wonderful mom, grandmother, great-grandmother and special friend who was loved by everyone who knew her.
She was the kindest, most understanding friend anyone could ask for and she will be greatly missed in our lives.
