To the editor:
The Copper Country Elks held a benefit for Bob Kezele on Saturday, May 31 at the lodge.
Bob is recovering from a severe injury he suffered last winter when he slipped and fell on the ice. This event was a wonderful success because of the following generous donations from local businesses, fellow Elks and friends.
There was much love in the room that day and I am so happy to have been the co-ordinator for such a worthy cause.
We all know how difficult it is when a loved one is living through a medical crisis. The expenses over and above what insurance covers is daunting. We were so happy to have helped a bit with those expenses.
My sincere gratitude goes out to the following: Habanero's Mexican Restaurant, Copper World, Louie's Fresh Market, Donna Ryan, Rosetta, Econo Foods, Herman Jewelers, Dreamland, Cross Country Sports, Judy Nuottila, Calumet Mercantile, Mary Turner, Mary Ann Bammert, Connie's Country Kitchen, The Peoples Choice, Newman Appliance, Rocky's, Clarence Fisher, Bucko's, Ace Hardware, Toni's Country Kitchen, Janice Crouch, Posh Boutique, All Styles, Northers Cuts, The Loading Zone, Rob Fritz, Jeannie's, Sundown Designs, Lynn and John Rodrigues, and U.P. Foods ~ Sarazin Enterprises.
