LAKE LINDEN - Kent Digre was the grand prize winner at Sunday's Rice Lake Fishing Derby put on by the Lake Linden-Hubbell Sportsmen's Club.
Digre landed a 32-inch northern pike weighing in at 7 pounds, 5 ounces.
It was a great day for pike all around in the competition, as Jim Baker won the pike competition, adult division with a 5 pound, 12 ounce catch of 29.5 inches length.
Mike LaBelle (4-8) and Jacob Wendel (3-5) took the next two places.
Josh Kemppainen was the junior pike winner with a 3-3 that measured up at 25.25 inches, followed by April Beveridge and Joslynn Perala.
In the children's pike division, Anton Kresapovich edged ahead with his 2-8 catch, which was 23.75 inches long. Payton Goldsworthy and Jadyn Basian were second and third.
The biggest walleye of the day was reeled in by Brian Chandonais, a 25-incher weighing in at 5-2. Glen Manninen (4-10) was second and Brad Parker (4-6) third.
Noah Norman's 2-4 was the only catch in the walleye category and Blake Hendrickson's 1-14 the lone fish in the children's walleye.
