Banquet helps conservation efforts

April 23, 2013
The Daily Mining Gazette

To the editor:

On behalf of the Copper Country Chapter of Trout Unlimited, I would like to thank the many local businesses that have so generously donated merchandise and services to our 12th Biennial Conservation Banquet. Door and raffle prizes are one of the centerpieces of the banquet, and without local support, we would not be able to offer them.

This year's banquet will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. May 4 in the Michigan Technological University Memorial Union Building Ballroom. The ticket price includes a prime rib and salmon dinner as well as opportunities for abundant door and raffle prizes and silent auctions. Net proceeds will be used to further our mission of conserving, protecting and restoring the Copper Country's cold water fisheries. You do not need to be a chapter member to participate.

For more information, go to our website: coppercountrytu.org or call Tom Rozich, chapter president, at 482-2422.

Vice President, Copper Country Trout Unlimited
