INDIAHOMA, Okla. -Daniel John Landen, a resident of Indiahoma, Okla. died Feb. 26, 2013, from a tragic automobile accident.
Daniel was born in Wakefield on Feb. 19, 1963. He attended elementary school in Virginia, Minn., and South Range. He graduated from Jeffers High School in Painesdale in 1981. He graduated with a degree in Computer Science from Suomi College in 1983.
In 1984, Daniel enlisted in the U.S. Army. He served in Desert Storm. He was medically retired with an honorable discharge from the Army in 1994.
In May 1991, Dan married Lynn Komula, and in November 1992 his beloved daughter, Kiira was born.
Daniel worked as a DJ/ radio technician for WZRK/WMPL in Hancock, and at KVRS in Lawton, Okla. for many years. Dan became self employed as a computer and electronics technician.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest and his brother, Dwayne.
Surviving are his wife, Lynn; a daughter, Kiira of Indiahoma, Okla.; his mother, Ruth of Chassell; a brother, Dwight (Mary Beth) of El Paso, Texas; a sister, Deborah (David) Butkovich of Chassell; and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
A memorial service will be held later in the spring.
