Marilyn A. ‘Sis’ Joyal

DOLLAR BAY - Marilyn A. "Sis" Joyal, 71, of Dollar Bay, passed away Jan. 23, 2013, at Cypress Manor in Hancock.

She was born Sept. 24, 1941, a daughter of Clement and Jenny Franks. She graduated from Lake Linden-Hubbell High School in 1959.

"Sis" worked at Portage View Hospital in Hancock for 32 years as a Nurse Aide until her retirement. Later, she volunteered at the Houghton County Historical Museum.

She enjoyed her Bunko and her Tops Clubs. She loved to read and do Word Search puzzles.

Marilyn was married to William Joyal on June 3, 1961.

She was preceded in death by her son, Chris; her parents; a brother, Larry.

She is survived by her husband, William of Dollar Bay; two sisters, Gloria (Dave) Walli of Lake Linden and Mary (John) Loukus of Gas Plant Road; a niece and nephews; and her dog, Max.

Private funeral services will be held in the Pearce Funeral Home in Lake Linden with Rev. Robert White to officiate. Burial will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery in Lake Linden.
