Enjoys Gazette from afar

January 5, 2013
The Daily Mining Gazette

To the editor:

Just a note to say how much I enjoy reading The Daily Mining Gazette online. I grew up in Hancock many years ago and though I now live in Minneapolis, it's fun to see what's going on in the Copper Country.

I especially enjoy reading Joe Kirkish and his comments on our world today. He was my instructor at Michigan Tech back in the day and I enjoyed working with him at the Calumet Theatre doing the movie nights.

Paul Peterson does such good sports stories, especially the ones about people I know from those years long ago.

Thanks Joe and Paul, and thanks to all the writers who keep this old Yooper current about all things on the Keweenaw Peninsula.
