Fallen far away

December 12, 2012
The Daily Mining Gazette

To the editor:

We sing the song "God Bless America."

Does anyone really believe and expect Almighty God to continue to bless this country when His guidance is no longer sought and His presence is no longer welcome? As the United States of America continues along this path, He is increasingly withdrawing his hand of blessing along with the guiding influence of the Holy Spirit, thus leaving us to mire away in the chaos of doing what is right in our own eyes.

He allowed this country, once great and God-fearing, to be formed by patriots who honored Him, revered Him and many trusted Him as their Savior and Lord. They realized and knew they needed His guidance and wisdom.

Oh, how very far we have fallen away from Him.
