EAST CHINA, Mich. - Roy W. Perala, 82, of East China, Mich., passed away Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012. He was born in Painesdale July 29, 1930, a son of the late John Eli and Lempi Esther (Rantala) Perala.
He married Lorraine Joan Perdue of Apr. 6, 1959 in Louisville, Ky.
Roy had been employed as a tool and die shop worker and also as a laborer in the construction business, having worked for Trudeau Construction Company in Novi, Mich.
He was a member of Laborers Union, Local 1076.
Roy enjoyed hunting and loved to socialize and spend time with his grandchildren.
Surviving are his wife, Lorraine; sons, Roy (Sharon) and Kevin (Susie) all of Indiana and David (Cindy) of Chesterfield, Mich.; four grandsons and two granddaughters; and his sister, Helen Dahlquist of Rochester Hills.
Roy was preceded in death by his brother, John Perala; and sister, Beatrice Dawson.
