LAURIUM - Darlene Pavloski, 74, former Laurium resident and current resident of Hancock, passed away on Monday, Nov. 12, 2012, at Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital in Laurium.
She was born on June 5, 193, in Marshfield, Wis., a daughter of William & Elsie (Johnson) Robus. She attended the local schools and graduated from Marshfield High School with the Class of 1956.
Darlene married Michael Pavloski on Feb. 11, 1961, in Wisconsin Rapids, Wis. He passed away on March 3, 1995.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Robin Pavloski; and a brother-in-law, Don Pavloski.
Darlene lived in Hancock for the past seven years and previous to that she resided on Seneca Street Laurium. She worked for Parkway Chevrolet in Calumet, The Houghton County Public Transit and at the Calumet Air Force Station.
Darlene was a proud Air Force wife and traveled the world with her husband for 26 years. As a military wife, she and her three children moved frequently throughout the United States, and overseas including England and Germany, finally settling in Laurium. She also enjoyed working with her husband with the Boy Scouts.
Her hobbies included sewing, ceramics and canning. She was a volunteer for Little Brothers and an avid Green Bay Packers fan.
Surviving are two sons, Michael (Cheryl) Pavloski of Calumet, Daniel (Kathy Weijola) Pavloski of California; one daughter, Cindy (Larry) Asiala of Houghton; six grandchildren, Heather, Nicole, Brooke, Brandon, Chadd and Easton; two brothers, James (Rachel) Robus of Wisconsin, Dennis (Evana) Robus of Wisconsin; one sister, Beverly (Gary) Fecker of Wisconsin; brothers and sisters-in-law, Janice (Chuck) Hepp of Wisconsin, Peter (Barb) Pavloski of Wisconsin, Tom (Rita) Pavloski of Wisconsin, MaryAnn (Mitch) Anderson of Minnesota and Marilyn Pavloski of Marquette.
A Memorial Service will be held at noon on Friday Nov. 16, 2012, at the Erickson Crowley Funeral Home in Calumet with the Deacon Art Stancher officiating.
Friends may call at the Funeral Home from 10 a.m. to noon on Friday.
