MILWAUKEE, Wis. - Dora (Salsini) Lavorini, a former resident of Iron Mountain and Hubbell, passed away Friday, Nov. 9, 2012, at the Milwaukee Catholic Home in Milwaukee.
She was born in Hubbell on Aug. 13, 1921, the daughter of the late Louis and Josephine Salsini. She graduated from Lake Linden-Hubbell High School and worked in the Pearce Furniture Store in Lake Linden for many years.
She married Steve Lavorini in 1964 and they lived in Florida and Illinois before moving to Iron Mountain. Steve died in 2000.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Rose Liikala and Arlene Latva; brothers, Robert and Louis.
Dora is survived by her brother, Paul (Barbara) Salsini of Milwaukee; stepdaughter, Donna Doberstein of Wilmette, Ill.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be a Memorial Mass at 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 17 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 500 Blaine St., Iron Mountain. Inurnment will be private in Lakeside Cemetery in Hancock.
