CALUMET - Robert and Gertrude (Niva) Antioho of Calumet recently their 60th wedding anniversary in Chicago at a dinner hosted by their children.
They were married on Oct. 6, 1951, in the Apostolic Lutheran Church on Franklin Street in Hancock, which is now Zion Lutheran Church, by Pastor Andrew Mickelsen. They are the parents of four sons, Mark (Grace) of Chassell; David (Julie) of Wayne, Ill.; Michael (Barbara) of Medinah, Ill.; and Daniel (Susan) of Elmhurst, Ill. They also have 14 grandchildren, Megan, Joshua, Heidi (John Mueller), Peter, Erin, Kortnie, Ruth, Jeffery, Cory, Rachel, Robbie, Lucas, Sarah and Kaylin.
Robert is a graduate of Calumet High School and Gertrude of Hancock High School and Suomi College. Travel has taken them to all 50 states and many foreign countries, including Sweden where Gertrude was born.
