Edward Kopp

LAURIUM - Edward Kopp, 64, a resident of Laurium, passed away at the Omega House on February 5, 2010, following a battle with cancer.

He was born on March 25, 1945, in Hubbell, a son of the late Joseph and Adela (Kazaryn) Kopp.

On September 16, 1967, he was married to the former Lois Ann Malila and she preceded him in death on June 7, 2008.

Edward was a loving dad and grandpa and always put the needs of his family first.

He was a man of many talents, incredibly smart, funny and well traveled.

Ed was a talented musician, playing in many bands.

He was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Navy.

Surviving are two daughters, Tanya (Scott) Kallio of Tamarack City, Kimberly Kopp (Gary) of Laurium; two sons, Tracy (Sperry) Kopp of Kenosha, Wis., Joseph Kopp of Lake Linden; five grandchildren, Danielle, Miranda, Dylan, Devan and Eddie; a brother, Michael Kopp; brother-in-law, James Malila; and best friends, LeRoy and Betty.

Private family services will be held.

The Erickson Crowley Funeral Home in Calumet is assisting the family with the arrangements.
