Community EventsGem and Mineral Show
The Copper Country Rock and Mineral Club will hold its Annual Gem & Mineral Show on from 1 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 7, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 8 and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 9 at the Portage Township Elementary School on Bridge Street in Houghton. Displays, door prizes, grab bags for kids, silent mineral auction and metal detecting for kids 6 to 12 from noon to 5 on Saturday.
