Community EventsBridgefest
The Bridgefest Celebration, always held on Father's Day weekend, takes place at various locations throughout Houghton and Hancock. Friday's events include the parade at 7 p.m., an antique and flea market sale, live music and the Houghton Rotary Seafood Fest. Saturday begins with the children's shore fishing derby at 9 a.m. and includes a swap meet, beach volleyball, the Keweenaw family olympics, a kiddy carnival, the rubber ducky derby, a beach party, the Seafood Fest and the fireworks extravaganza at dusk. Sunday's events include the cardboard boat regatta, beach volleyball, the 10-S triathlon, watercraft races and more. A complete list of events is available on the website.
