Example: "A New Yorker article by Calvin Tomkins describes the photo art of Laurie Simmons and her sense of scale: 'She bought up a cache of 1950s doll-house furniture in a variety of styles — kitchens, bathrooms and polyglot interiors, then photographs them.'"
