Dumka — DOOM-kah — a piece of Slavic music, usually originating as a folk ballad or lament
Example: "In a New Yorker article on the music of Dvorak, Alex Ross said, 'His "Dumky Trio" consisted of one dumka after another, lament and dances in succession.'"
