| | Halftime Thoughts: Tech-Lake Superior State (Women)February 11, 2012 - Michael BleachThis one is done. Huskies coach Kim Cameron has moved into full bench clearing mode already in the first half. Little used reserve Paige Albi and even littler-used reserve Taylor Stippel both saw decent minutes and Albi even chipped in with seven points. Tech started the game on a 17-0 run through the first 10:21 of the game and leads 36-17 at intermission. Right now, the only factor keeping this from being a felony-level beat down is Lakers forward Maria Blazejewski. The third leading scorer in conference, Blaze scored the first 12 points of the game for LSSU (on 4-of-6 shooting) and was abusing every defender she faced with a herky-jerky high post game that inevitably led to a five-foot jumper. Blaze picked up two offensive fouls for hooking to get post position, however, and had to sit the last five minutes of the half. There are three players for Tech who haven't played yet. Let us see if Jessica Racine, Kelcey Traynoff and Nateah Beimborn see game action as the second half rout will inevitably be on.
