Ray Albert Tapani
CROSSVILLE, Tenn. — Ray Albert Tapani, 81, of Crossville, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, August 12, 2018, at Saint Thomas Highlands Hospital in Sparta, Tennessee.
He was born on May 7, 1937, in Atlantic Mine, son of the late Elmer Tapani and Sigrid (Nelson) Tapani.
Ray worked as a computer programmer, and was of the Methodist faith.
He also proudly served his country in the Army.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Tapani of Crossville, Tennessee; hisson, Kevin (Sharon) Tapani of Minnesota; his daughters, Michele (Paul) Roach of New York, and Erika Tapani of Crossville, Tennessee; his grandchildren, Kristina, Kelsey, Sarah, Ryan and Luke; and his brother, Ralph (Betty) Tapani of Michigan.
In addition to his parents, Ray is preceded in death by his sister, June Waisanen.
