About 9 a.m. Tuesday, the Houghton County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the house on M-203 north of Mclain State Park.
Upon arrival, the house was found to be destroyed and on fire. One person was transported to Keweenaw Aspirus Hospital in Laurium. Their status was unknown early Tuesday afternoon.
A state fire marshal is en route. The incident remains under investigation.
